LIGHT
Bright, indirect light
• East or west window preferred
• Filtered sunlight works well
• Avoid harsh afternoon sun
WATER
Air plants absorb water through their leaves.
Weekly Soak (Recommended):
- Submerge 20–30 minutes
- Shake off excess water
- Dry upside-down
- Fully dry within 4 hours
Between Soaks:
Light misting if air is very dry
Best Water:
Rainwater, spring water, or filtered water
AIRFLOW
Good circulation is essential.
Never allow water to sit in the base.
TEMPERATURE
50–90°F (10–32°C)
Protect from frost and heating/AC vents
FERTILIZER
Bromeliad or air plant fertilizer
¼ strength, once monthly (spring/summer)
COMMON PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS
Shriveling / Curling Leaves
→ Needs more water
Brown Tips
→ Too much sun or hard water
Soft or Mushy Base
→ Overwatering / poor drying
Plant Dying After Bloom
→ Natural cycle; look for pups
No Pups After Flowering
→ Some species produce fewer offsets
FLOWERING
Air plants bloom once in their lifetime.
After blooming, they produce pups (baby plants).
Remove pups when â…“–½ the size of the parent.
